June 20, 2010 - York Open House

York Airport (KTHV) was having an Open House this weekend.  Jolly, who is based there, said they wanted Dragon Flight to do a couple of fly-bys in formation.  So Jolly, Cuban and myself did that.

Here's Cuban's RV-4 and my 7 are on the York ramp.

They had some booths setup in front of the FBO building and hangar.

They also had a number of planes out on statis display that visiters could check out, including the classy Cirrus and the big Red Waco.

And of course that pesky Cub which keeps following me around ...

Jolly, Cuban and I went out for a practice rehearsal, came back, then did the fly-bys.

They were pushing this Staggerwing as I was taxiing out to leave.

An overhead shot as I was leaving.

Yesterday's haze had disappeared.  The sky was blue and filled with big white cumulous clouds.

Flying back to Essex Skypark, I flew just to the northwest of Towson and snapped a picture of this big mall on a hill.
